Step 1 is to examine the agenda of the troublesome part.
Step 2 is to take the lie out of it.
For example, the shopaholic part wants to make you look thinner, which is wonderful … but you may have to face the fact there is no perfect outfit and the best way to look slim is to start exercising and stop snacking.Another process I sometimes use is to look at that part’s original purpose, and then to take away not the purpose but the trap within it.For instance someone in a relationship may want their partner to feel they are trustworthy, but if they go about it in the wrong way they may actually destroy what they’re trying to preserve and protect. The good news is your behaviours and decisions do not need to be controlled by an aspect of yourself which may have the right idea but the wrong method. If you’re feeling stuck or out of control in an aspect of your life, let’s see what part is in control and how we can put it to better use.

We can assess your situation and determine if parts therapy will help you… just give me a call and we can talk. 647.261.3733
