chronic pain management

 Pain Management ...don't just cope...

The management of chronic pain can be helped greatly by learning how to use hypnosis.
One of the problems with chronic pain management is that the brain habituates to pain-killing drugs, requiring higher and higher doses. Hypnosis works in a different way, causing the brain to stop responding to pain signals. But how? In addition to the simple fact that you feel less pain when relaxed, hypnosis can actually reduce the amount of pain you perceive.
Pain management can only be taught on the advice of a doctor's referral. There is good reason for this: pain is a symptom of something wrong in body and/or mind.

Treating pain with Hypnosis, Meditation, QiGong and Energy Psychology is the new frontier of Health Care!

Pain should never be treated for its own sake, but for the underlying cause. Hypnosis can be very effective in relieving pain and it is therefore used for a variety of situations for treating pain, including the following:
  • Post-operative pain - where traditional painkillers aren't appropriate. After all, a Patient may be afraid of needles or allergic to medication.
  • Chronic pain not alleviated through traditional methods
  • Phantom pain
  • Palliative care

The Center for the Advancement of Health in its article "Minding the Body: the Science of Hypnosis" - states:

"Strong evidence for the use of hypnosis in alleviating cancer pain was found by a scientific panel convened by the National Institutes of Health. In one 10-year follow-up of 86 cancer patients, those who received self-hypnosis training along with group therapy had 50 percent less pain than those who only had routine medical care."

All sessions concerning acute or chronic pain can only be accepted when the client has a referral slip from his doctor. A request form for your doctor to fill out can easily be requested.
